    A work in progress of a full scale replica of the Bayeux Tapestry will be displayed for the public in December.

    Mia Hansson, 44, from Wisbech, began creating the piece two years ago, external - and is currently more than 15m into the 69m work. She estimates it'll take a decade.

    The original Bayeux Tapestry depicts the future William I's conquest of England, culminating in the Battle of Hastings in 1066. It even includes an early illustration of Halley's Comet.

    Mia's work can be seen at Wisbech Library from 6 December.

    Seventeen organisations in Peterborough will join forces to address the issue of homelessness in the city.

    The partnership, called Safer Off the Streets, external Peterborough (#SOSPboro), will include outreach and rehabilitation programmes over the next 12 months, a drop-in hub, as well as a new contactless card donation window in St Peter’s Arcade.

    Christine Graham, co-ordinator of Peterborough's street pastors scheme said around 35 people were living on the city's streets, with many families in need of permanent accommodation.

    "Rough sleeping is the most visible and unacceptable consequence of homelessness, and we felt a more targeted approach was needed," she said.

    Essex Police said they would like to hear from several young people who were around at the time of the incident near the Greyhound Pub in School Lane.

    It was Bruno's 33rd yesterday and after we left you Ed Sheeran popped round to wish him a musical 'all the best'.

    However it seems the British singer/songwriter - who unlike the birthday boy, has not yet headlined the Super Bowl, had to earn his slice of cake.
