    BBC Radio Kent presenter Dave Cash has died at the age of 74.

    Dave, from Hollingbourne near Maidstone, had just celebrated 52 years on the air. He worked at the pirate stations Radio London and Radio Luxembourg, later becoming one of the first DJ's on BBC Radio 1, alongside the likes of Tony Blackburn and John Peel.

    But for the last 17 years he presented vintage chart and country music programmes on BBC Radio Kent and other BBC local radio stations in the South.

    He leaves a widow - Sara.

    A man has died in a collision on the A22 at Hailsham.

    Police were called to the road at its junction with Hempstead Lane at 11:00 BST today, where a pedestrian had been knocked down by a lorry. 

    The man died at the scene. 

    The whole road is currently closed with drivers being asked to avoid the area.
