It’s nearly time for this year’s Brighton Marathon, when thousands of runners will take to the city’s streets. Here are some key facts about the event:

Staff at the University of Brighton are going on strike tomorrow in a dispute over job losses, what they claim are plans to limit promotions and downgrade teaching staff.
Two more strike days are planned for 26 and 27 April.
Members of the University and College Union will also begin working to contract from tomorrow.

It's been a stunning day in many places with temperatures peaking at 21.8C.

It's officially been the warmest day of the year with temperatures hitting 21.8C in Gravesend.
That makes it the warmest March day in five years.

Eyewitnesses have been describing the moment a light aircraft crashed into the sea off Shoreham.
Both people who were on the plane swam ashore unharmed.

Pupils have been asked to bring in supplies such as toilet paper, glue and sticky tape to help fund their school.
St John's Primary School in Crowborough says money saved on buying supplies will help them provide more interesting lessons.

Two people escaped the Cessna and swam to shore.

Two people have escaped from a plane which crashed into the sea at Shoreham.
They swam ashore after the plane came down close to the beach.
The plane, believed to be a Cessna crashed about 15:30 BST.

A teenager's been robbed of his bicycle in Brighton.
The 17-year-old from Lewes was cycling with a friend in Surrenden Road when he was attacked.
It happened on Tuesday 21 March at 16:20 GMT.
Police say the attacker was aged between 16 and 18 and wearing a black hooded top with red writing on the front and back and black tracksuit bottoms.
He was with a group of boys of similar age.
They're urging anyone with information to come forward.

A woman's been sexually assaulted by a man in Worthing.
The attacker approached the 29-year-old near Broadwater Green in the early hours of Saturday 25 March.
He tried to talk to the victim and then pulled her into Grove Road and assaulted her.
Police say he's white, in his early to mid-twenties, 5ft 9in, clean shaven with blonde or light brown messy hair.

A competition is underway to find the most imaginative use of a redundant red telephone box in Sussex.
Run by the Sussex Heritage Trust and the Sussex Association of Local Councils, it aims to help save the British icon from extinction.
There's already a raft of nominees, including phone boxes used as coffee shops in Brighton, one in Steyning that's a defibrillator, and a village library in Bosham.
