    Hastings Borough Council says scammers are sending out fake invoices in the authority's name.

    It says a number of people have reported receiving emails which appear to be genuine and ask the recipient to click on a link to access the invoice.

    The council said it always sends invoices as attachments and anyone who receives one they're not sure about should immediately call the number on the document.

    Did you miss this inspiring story? Being part of a marathon has long been the dream of Bethan Griffiths, who has cerebral palsy.

    The 22-year-old from from Stourbridge took part in the Brighton Marathon with the help of Becky Amor and Andy Woolway, from the National Star College in Gloucestershire.

    They pushed her in an all-terrain wheelchair for 25 miles but she was determined to cross the finish line unaided.

    Bethan wanted to take part in the race in memory of her mother, Amanda, who died of motor neurone disease last year.

    Mark Sands, 51, of Eastbourne, has been jailed for four months for threatening the life of Eastbourne MP Caroline Ansell on Facebook.

    In his post on Facebook, Sands threatened to go round Ms Ansell's house and stab her to death.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl reported being approached by a man in Bexhill who grabbed her arm.

    The seven-year-old was playing in Sidley Street at about 19:30 BST on Sunday 9 April when it happened. 

    Detective Constable Julian Stokes said: "The girl was upset but is ok. We have been carrying out house to house enquiries and investigations and are asking anyone who saw the girl in the street or a man acting suspiciously in the area to contact us."
