    A 20-year-old Chatham man is in a critical condition in a London hospital after a crash in Rochester.

    The crash happened at about 14:50 GMT on Sunday on the A228 at Frindsbury Hill.

    The injured man's red and white Honda off-road motorcycle collided with a silver Renault Scenic, Kent Police said.

    The 50-year-old male driver of the car was uninjured. Police are appealing for witnesses.

    Twelve more Brighton and Hove Albion fans have been banned ahead of tonight's FA Cup match with Crystal Palace.

    It's after the club reviewed CCTV footage of anti-social behaviour at the stadium during their last meeting in November.

    Extra security and extra police have been laid on for the clash at the Amex.

    Last time the two teams met six fans were arrested and two stewards were injured.

    Banana shipping firm Geest Line is relocating its cargo handling from Portsmouth to Dover.

    The Eastern Caribbean company said the move had been prompted "by the need to accommodate revised scheduling times involving the weekend discharge of cargoes" and would not result in any job losses.

    It comes as Geest replaces its fleet of four charter vessels with five larger, new ships.

    Portsmouth Port director Mike Sellers said: “We are incredibly disappointed that we couldn’t find a solution to accommodate the changes to Geest's shipping rotation.

    "This sadly means we have to look at how we operate and our main priority now is to reduce the impact directly on staff and our customers."

    He added Geest had been a "valued customer" for 16 years.

    More than 400 people have been arrested for drink and drug-drivers during the Christmas period in the South East.

    In total, 410 people were arrested in Kent and Sussex in December.

    So far 46 people in Sussex have been convicted.

    Kent police have charged 118 people.
