Richard, Blyth: Robbie Millar is clearly a Sunderland fan who got lost looking for the League One scores! On a wind up looking for a bit of festive cheer!

David, York:I think I just read that someone thinks that David Moyes is a better, more passionate manager than Rafa Benitez. It must have been my afternoon nap at half-time. Awake now and all back to normal.

Steve Robson, Newcastle: Robbie Millar from York is obviously on the mulled wine in the Christmas markets.

    Garth Crooks
BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

If you are under siege, and Newcastle are to some extent, you have got to withstand that.

You have got to batten down the hatches, battle and get to half-time. You have to earn the right to play and Newcastle are doing that.

This is a tough game to call.

Huddersfield's result against Wolves was a crazy one. David Wagner sees his team everyday in training and will know if the tide is turning. Losing Aaron Mooy is a problem in itself.

It won't be the greatest game, but it is a monster of a game. It is an early six-pointer.

  18. New series shows life on the Tyne and Wear Metropublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2018

Tyne and Wear Metro will be the star of a new documentary.

The four-part series for ITV will feature life on the metro network and will follow the stories of passengers and staff.

It is the first time in-depth access has been granted in the Metro's near 40 year history.

The project, with working title Metropolis, is the first commission for Leeds based producer Wise Owl Films, a Lime Pictures company that launched this year.

Mark Robinson, Creative Director of Leeds-based Wise Owl Films, said: "This is the first time that a documentary series has been made on the Tyne and Wear Metro - and we feel privileged and excited to be making it.

"The Metro is an institution and a vital part of everyday life in the North East of England. On every train, on every journey and on every platform there are human stories for us to tell."

Managing Director of Nexus, Tobyn Hughes, said: "The Metro is owned by the people who live in the North East, and the people who run it are from the local community - it is a truly local railway.

" It is part of the unique fabric of the North East that sets it apart from the rest of the country: friendly, hardworking, and with a unique cultural identity. Our story is our passengers, so we are very much looking forward to sharing these through this TV documentary series."

It's Christmas Jumper Day and a dental care practice in North Shields has followed suit.

Patients at Ewan Bramley Dental Care were all smiles this morning when they found staff had ditched their traditional uniforms for Christmas jumpers and hats.

Practice owner Ewan Bramley has worn his uniform every day since setting up the practice on the Fish Quay almost 10 years ago.

But today, he bucked the trend and asked his staff to come to work in festive clothing, to get in with the Christmas spirit and to raise money for charity.
