17:10 BST 29 AugustSomerset 328-6 v Durham
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio NewcastleDaniel Hogg has just taken the wicket of debutant Archie Vaughan in the second over after the new ball was introduced.
He got his England U19 colleague LBW for 30, after he'd put on 68 for the sixth wicket with James Rew, who has 42.
It was the first wicket to fall since tea. The two wickets to fall before the break came in consecutive overs from left-arm spinner Callum Parkinson, who claimed Tom Abell for 124 and Tom Banton for 73.
Both were caught at first slip by Durham skipper Scott Borthwick. Their partnership of 185 was Somerset's highest fourth wicket stand against Durham.
Can Durham now take further advantage of this new Kookaburra ball, to see off the rest of the Somerset tail, before it softens and brings more hefty partnerships?
