Durham 250-5 lead Surrey by 81

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Surrey have just taken the new ball and Surrey fast bowler Jordan Clark and just delivered a juicy bouncer to his brother Graham.

The batsman did well to rock out of the road of it, but I think it caught the grill of his helment and he had to be checked over by the Durham physio. But he appears to be OK.

Graham has 23 runs and nightwatchman Codi Yusuf has 11. They have done well so far today but Durham need to bat well into day three, if not day four, to save this one.

    Durham 219-5 - lead Surrey by 50

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Got to feel for Colin Ackermann after he's been given out by umpire James Middlebrook, who seems to believe he has been caught at short leg off Dan Lawrence.

Ackermann can't believe the decision and stands there shaking his head. A look at the camera suggests his bat and gloves are nowhere near the ball. It has initially clipped the knee roll of his front pad and gone up his thigh pad to Ryan Patel.

It's a horrible decision in the circumstances because Durham are now effectively 50-5 and there were only 4.4 overs of the day to go.
