People living in York are being invited to have their say on where thousands of new homes in the city will be built.
The first of a series of drop-in sessions is taking place today at the council's main offices.
The new Local Plan is half the size of the last one, which was rejected. The council's now aiming to build about 500 homes a year instead of 1,000.
Deputy Leader and Liberal Democrat councillor Keith Aspden says that so far people have welcomed that reduction.
