    Northern Ireland's police service and a gold exploration company are seeking legal advice in a dispute over security costs at a Country Tyrone mine.

    The funeral of IRA supergrass Raymond Gilmour is to take place following a post-mortem examination - but his name will probably never appear on his headstone.

    Gilmour, who was from Londonderry, was found dead at his home in Kent last week. He had been living under an assumed identity for more than 30 years.

    Apart from the fireworks, dogs can also get caught up in, or choke on decorations, there are also strange (small) people calling at the door demanding treats, as well as lots of odd noises.

    The Dogs Trust recommends providing a safe and cosy place where your pet can go if they get scared. It's also not advised to force your dog to wear a costume - though some may not mind.

  18. Wrightbus to buy former JTI sitepublished at 12:34

    The Ballymena manufacturer Wrightbus says it has exchanged contracts to buy the 100-acre JTI tobacco firm site at Lisnafillan.

    The site will become available from mid-2017. In a statement, Wrights Group said it was "too early" to outline specific plans for the new facility.

    Police are appealing for witnesses after a fight involving a number of people in Main Street, Toomebridge, shortly after midnight.
