Veteran political activist Eamonn McCann says, "looking at the figures realistically", it is unlikely that he will retain a seat for People before Profit in Foyle.
He says being an MLA was a job he "was very pleased to do" and that the Brexit issue "didn't do us any favours".

The People Before Profit MLA is sitting on 4,760 votes and looking up at his nearest rival, the DUP's Gary Middleton on 5,975.
West Belfast
Long-standing SDLP assembly member Alex Attwood, who lost his seat in west Belfast, says his "first and primary" concern is his "patient and understanding" wife and their two young children.

The Sinn Féin President, Gerry Adams, says Sinn Féin's vote is a vote for Irish unity.
He says politics needs "a wee bit of manners" and that no renegotiation is needed on "what has already been agreed".
Prof Rick Wilford says the UUP and SDLP failed to articulate an opposition programme.
He said the SDLP didn't respond in kind to Mike Nesbitt's announcement on his second preference vote.

David McIlveen, former DUP MLA for North Antrim, tells BBC Radio Ulster that as things stand, this election is a "wake-up call for unionism".
There was a "comfortable gap" in seats between the DUP and Sinn Féin last time around, he added, but that is likely to be reduced to about two or three.
