Northern Ireland has three women MEPs for the first time
Diane Dodds, DUP, was the first to be declared elected
Alliance's Naomi Long and Sinn Féin's Martina Anderson were both elected after five rounds of counting
Eleven candidates competed for NI's three seats in the European Parliament
DUP, Sinn Féin and UUP took NI seats at last European election in 2014
Voters went to polls on Thursday - 1,278,951 were eligible to vote
Turnout was just more than 45% - down 6% on 2014's poll

Diane Dodds tells Talkback that the UK needs to go back to Europe to renegotiate.
"The withdrawal deal is dead and it will not pass the House of Commons," she says.
The five candidates who will be eliminated after the first count are conservative candidate Amandeep Bhogal, Green Party candidate Claire Bailey, UKIP's Robert Hill, independents Neil McCann and Jane Morrice.

The count seems to be going faster than our last, according to political commentator David McCann.
There is a few reasons for this, he says.
Firstly, the verification of the ballots - that's when they sort the ballots and categorise them - was all done on Friday.
Secondly, there are twice as many counters today.

A quota is due in the next 30 minutes, according to Virginia McVea, the Chief Electoral Officer for Northern Ireland.
She told political correspondent Gareth Gordon that the sorting is now finished and that the counters should have a quota for the candidates to reach shortly.

Early results in the European elections in the Republic of Ireland were announced on Sunday night.
Green Party candidate Ciarán Cuffe topped the poll in Dublin, receiving 63,849 first preference votes.
Former SDLP leader Mark Durkan, who stood as a Fine Gael candidate in the same constituency, received 16,473 first round votes.
