    Conservative MP for Solihull, Julian Knight, says Brexit has had a direct impact on the local elections.

    Speaking at the local election count in his constituency, he says: "People are angry about Brexit, turnout is very low in some wards.

    "People are fed up and want politicians to get on and deliver Brexit."

    Mr Knight says the process has been "held up" by those who wanted a "perfect Brexit" on one side, and Labour, who he says have not "lived up" to their pledge to respect the referendum result.
