    Give me five!

    Julia has been a teacher at Dollar Academy for 37 years, and will shortly retire. She has raised a phenomenal £67,000 for the Malindi Project, a charity which helps disabled children in Kenya.

    The baton is presently at a very grand-looking Dollar Academy for a community event involving local students. The relay will then take a short break for lunch.

    To rapturous applause from the crowd, Bob Anderson climbed out of his wheelchair and walked with the baton. With the aid of a stick, and support from a police escort, he bravely made his way down the road.

    One of Bob's biggest fans was his two-year-old grandson Archie. His son Bruce, a Royal Marine recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, was also in the crowd.

    It was a very emotional scene, and the cheers for Bob got louder and louder. He walked as far as he could, before getting back in his chair to pass the baton to Seonaid McIntosh.

    A kilted Michael Power ran through the streets of Dollar, proudly holding the baton aloft. He received cheers, handclaps and the occasional toot from cars.

    The relay is currently making a stop at Castle Campbell, where it will be carried on a quad bike.

    Unfortunately the media vehicle that records the relay isn't built for off-road use, so we can't bring you pictures at the moment.

    It's back. The police escort warmed up this morning by doing a little penguin dance.

    They're waddling again with baton bearer Roddy Davidson. We're unsure if they're getting any better at it though. What do you think?

    The first baton bearer in Dollar is 13-year-old Isaac Lowry.

    Sporty Isaac plays rugby and holds a brown belt in karate. Isaac is also quite handy with the bat - he was recently voted young player of the year at Clackmannan County Cricket Club for his talent and hard work.

    Earlier Pamela Lowry emailed to wish him good luck and let us know that his supporters in Northern Ireland, Thailand, Hong Kong and the United States would be watching him online.

    An emotional Angela Beardsley was the first Coalsnaughton baton bearer.

    Angela formed a group - Resonate Together - that helps young people get into college, and promotes the social inclusion of all local inhabitants. She volunteers for 90 hours per week to encourage and inspire people to learn new skills, develop confidence and increase their well-being.

    The residents from a local home for the elderly were out to see the relay.

    Mairi McKellar, looking great in her Highland dancing outfit, stopped to allow them to touch the baton.

    She then treated the crowd to an impromptu dancing display. Not to be outdone by Mairi, her little sister Kirsty joined in with a few steps of her own.

    Our friends at Commonwealth Voices have been updating their Facebook page, external as they prepare for their new project.

    A four-week online radio station, Commonwealth Voices - with presenter Cat Cubie - will celebrate Glasgow 2014.

    Launching on 16 July, the station will be based at the Forge Shopping Centre in the east end of Glasgow.

    It will offer local people from the area a chance to gain skills in research, broadcast and social media, as they make content which tells the cultural story behind the games in their home city.
