President Hage Geingob is said to be in good spirits despite the diagnosis
Both Namibia's President Hage Geingob and First Lady Monica Geingos have tested positive for coronavirus.
The couple are isolating and said to be in "good spirits", the Namibian presidency has tweeted:

Namibia has recorded 53,432 confirmed cases of the virus including 779 deaths, according to data published by the World Health Organization.
The country has administered 67,984 vaccine doses.
