    Ms McLeod's throat prevents her from continuing and Mr Wheelhouse again steps into the breech. 

    He says the government will support one of Labour MSP Sarah Boyack's amendments, but not the rest.

    The minister says he will not back the amendments from Green MSP Patrick Harvie.

    The Scottish government's Land Reform Bill needed to be "enhanced and strengthened" to deliver the "radical changes needed", MSPs declared in December.

    A report from the rural affairs and environment committee said the land management proposals need "more work".

    The bill was also rejected by delegates at the SNP conference in October, who argued it should be strengthened.

    Landowners say the bill as it stands would have "far-reaching and detrimental consequences" for business.

    He also welcomes Mr Mcdonald's amendment calling for at least one Gaelic speaker on the Land Commission.
