    Mr Lochhead says he hopes the UK decision does not lead to a domino affect across Europe.

    The former minister says the first minister is "absolutely correct to say a second independence referendum is now on the table".

    Tory MSP Douglas Ross says two out of two SNP back benchers have talked about independence, hence the Tory concerns.

    Mr Lochhead hits back calling on the Conservatives to rally round and join the other parties in backing the motion.

    Mr Harvie says his party will certainly be supporting the Scottish government motion this evening at decision time.

    He says Scotland's path towards EU membership will be unique and more people may believe independence is the only way to achieve it.

    She says millions of Scots want to be part of both the EU and the UK.
