    SNP MSP Gil Paterson raises the issue of the loss of beds at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Clydebank.

    The first minister says the hospice provides a valuable service.

    She says there is nothing in the arrangements that would undermine its charitable status.

    Airdrie Savings Bank, the last survivor of Britain's independent savings banks, is preparing for a "phased end to all business activities".

    Staff were told the headquarters will shut, along with the remaining two branches in Bellshill and Coatbridge.

    It is understood that 70 jobs are likely to be lost.

    The bank is thought to have found the cost of new regulation to be too great for a small lender, and the Board of Trustees made the decision to close.

    SNP MSP Alex Neil raises the issue of the closure of the Airdrie Savings Bank with the loss of 70 jobs.

    Ms Sturgeon says: "We were all sad to hear the news."

    The first minister adds that the board has made the difficult but right decision to wind down.

    She says this will be an extremely difficult time for those affected and says support will be provided through PACE.

    Just under 88% of patients attending accident and emergency departments in Scotland in the first week of 2017 were seen within four hours.

    The Scottish government wants at least 95% of patients seen within that time.

    A total of 25,066 people presented at A&E, with 454 spending more than eight hours to be seen, admitted then transferred or discharged.

    Separate statistics showed a slight drop in the number of people delayed in hospital longer than necessary.

    BMA chairman Peter Bennie says NHS 'near breaking point'

    The health service in Scotland is "stretched pretty much to breaking point", according to a doctors' leader.

    Peter Bennie, the chairman of the British Medical Association (BMA) in Scotland, warned that staff shortages could lead to "system breakdown".

    Mr Bennie called for a major increase in funding or an "honest debate" about what services the NHS could offer.

    The Scottish government said it recognised that it must "up the pace of change" in the health service.

    The first minister says the government is investing £500m more in the NHS over the parliament.

    The Scottish Conservative leader says unemployment in Scotland is up, employment is down.

    She says the government is taxing people and firms more here than in the rest of the UK.

    Ms Sturgeon says unemployment is down over the year and GDP per head is up by 2.2% in Scotland since the recession.

    The first minister again says 100,000 small business are taken out of paying rates altogether.

    She says the last thing businesses needs is to be ripped out of the single market.

    A growing "confidence gap" is emerging between Scottish small firms and their counterparts elsewhere in the UK, according to a new report.

    The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) found confidence levels in Scotland fell by more than 10 points to -28.9 in the final quarter of 2016.

    Over the same period, small business confidence grew in the UK as a whole, climbing from -2.9 points to +8.5.

    The fall in Scotland continued an 18-month decline in confidence.
