    The parish priest on Barra has said a "dark cloud" has come down on the island after the suicide bombing in Manchester left one girl dead and another seriously injured.

    Eilidh MacLeod, 14, has been confirmed among those killed in Monday's attack.

    Her friend and fellow Castlebay Community School pupil, Laura MacIntyre, 15, is in hospital with serious injuries.

    Roman Catholic priest Father John Paul Mackinnon said he was very upset.

    Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale says the peace of Barra has been shattered by the Manchester suicide bomber.

    Ms Dugdale says the family of Eilidh MacLeod will be grieving and the family of Laura MacIntyre will be worrying and grieving.

    She asks what support can be given to Barra.

    Ms Sturgeon agrees with Ms Dugdale and says the feeling of sorrow will be more intense in such a small community.

    The first minister says the government will support the local council in any way it can and a clinical psychologist will be travelling there today.

    She says it is important to support the young people of Barra.

    The Scottish government unveiled its strategy on mental health in March, committing to spend more than £300m to tackle it in the next five years.

    Mental Health Minister Maureen Watt said her ambition was for mental and physical illnesses to achieve "parity of esteem" in the way they are treated.

    Ms Watt told MSPs she would work hard to tackle poverty as the "biggest driver" of poor mental health.

    There are 40 actions in the Scottish government's new strategy, including reviewing counselling and guidance services in schools

    The first minister adds that reduced stigma has led to more people coming forward for CAMHS.

    The family of a 14-year-old girl from Scotland have confirmed that she was one of the 22 people killed in Monday's suicide bomb attack at the Manchester Arena.

    In a statement, the parents of Eilidh MacLeod said: "Words cannot express how we feel at losing our darling Eilidh."

    Eilidh was one of two teenagers from Barra who were reported missing in the aftermath of the attack.

    Her friend Laura MacIntyre, 15, is in hospital with serious injuries.

    First Minister Nicola Sturgeon says members will be aware of the heartbreaking news today that 14-year-old Eilidh MacLeod was among the victims of the Manchester attack.

    Ms Sturgeon says the thoughts of all in the chamber are with her family and friends, as well as with her friend Laura MacIntyre, 15, who is in hospital with serious injuries.

    Ms Davidson echoes those sentiments and sends her condolences as well.

    Scotland's first purpose-built film and TV studio is to be created outside Edinburgh after the Scottish government approved the plans in principle.

    It is hoped the vast Pentland Studios development will help attract more feature films and high-end TV productions to the country.

    The privately-funded project had been mired in a planning wrangle for the past two years.

    Its backers now believe the studio can be operational by the end of next year.

    The studio, which will feature six huge sound stages, will be built on about 100 acres of greenbelt land at Old Pentland Farm in the Straiton area.

    The decision to approve the plan in principle overturns a previous recommendation by a Scottish government reporter, external, who said permission should be refused.

    A single mother told the BBC she feared losing her home, on the day the new benefits cap was introduced last November.

    Emma Bradley, who has four children, including a baby, said she could be left £76 a week short on her rent unless she finds work.

    The cap - which limits the income households receive in certain benefits - has been reduced from £26,000 a year to £20,000 a year outside London.

    The government says the cap is "a clear incentive to move into a job".

    But the policy has been criticised by campaigners and unions.
