    A survey of Scottish football fans says just 15% of the 2,923 involved want Hampden Park to continue as the national stadium.

    The survey, carried out by the Scottish Football Supporters Association, indicated that 34% of fans surveyed favour a move to Murrayfield.

    Playing at grounds across Scotland is the preference of 25%, while 24% would like a "new Hampden" built.

    Of those participating, 97% believe fans should have input to the decision.

    With the Scottish FA's 20-year lease on Hampden expiring in 2020, the organisation's chief executive Stewart Regan confirmed last month that moving from the stadium is an option that will be discussed.

    Scottish League One club Queen's Park, who own Hampden, last month questioned the SFA's claim that retaining the stadium would cost "many millions".

    Tory MSP Graham Simpson says he was super impressed when he saw Celtic play at Murrayfield and he feels thas the Edinburgh stadium should be the national stadium.

    Boos abound from around the ground that Holyrood temporarily has become.

    Mr Simpson jokes: "It's probably best I sit down at this stage."

    The Hampden roar is a bit of a distant memory, unfortunately.

    Former Scotland manager Craig Brown wants the national side to stay at Hampden as he feels it is the "spiritual home" of Scottish football.

    The Scottish FA willchoose betweenthe Glasgow venue and Murrayfield this summer.

    "I must admit I'd like to revamp the stadium a bit," Brown told BBC Scotland.

    "I'd like to have few hundred million and then I'd make it a tight stadium with a much better atmosphere."

    Labour MSP Johann Lamont jokes that she may not be welcomed home if she did not back the Save the Hampden Roar campaign, since her husband Cllr Archie Graham represents the area.

    Hampden is a source of local pride, the Labour MSP states.

    It is also highly important to the local economy, bring in £7m to the local economy she adds.

    Ms Lamont says the SFA cannot make a short-term decision based on its narrow interest.

    In March the Herald reported that a campaign had been launched, external to persuade the Scottish FA to keep Hampden Park, external as the home of Scottish football.

    The governing body are currently considering whether to extend their lease of the stadium when it expires in 2020, or move to Scotland's, external national rugby ground Murrayfield in Edinburgh, external.

    In a bid to keep Scotland games at Hampden, the Hampden Collection, external last night launched the #KeepHampdenRoaring campaign.

    Co-Founder Graeme Brown said: "There are a million reasons why the Home of Scottish Football should stay at Hampden. We have put together a campaign to showcase the history and mystery of one of the world’s most iconic stadiums.

    Ditching Hampden Park as its national stadium would leave the Scottish FA at the mercy of those renting out their grounds, it has been warned.

    The governing body is considering its options as its 20-year lease with owners Queen's Park ends in 2020.

    Rangers' Ibrox Stadium, Celtic Park and Murrayfield are among the alternatives.

    "If they move out of Hampden, the SFA are in danger of leaving themselves hostages to Rangers and Celtic," said Queen's Park president Alan Hutchison.

    Mr Dornan warns against the economic impact of not having Scotland's internationals and cup finals played there.

    The SNP MSP mentions a number of games he saw at Hampden including Dunfermline beating Celtic in the Scottish Cup in 1961 and then Celtic's revenge against the Pars in 1965.

    Hampden is the world's oldest continually used football ground he says.

    Looking over his shoulder for inexplicable reasons he mentions SNP MSP Stewart Stevenson, then mentions James I who passed the first football act banning the game in 1424!

    The SNP MSP concludes saying he is proud to be the voice in the chamber for the Save the Hampden Roar campaign.

    The competition watchdog is being urged by politicians to examine the possible merger of Sainsbury's and Asda.

    Talks between the two UK supermarket chains are at an "advanced" stage, with more details of a potential £10bn deal expected on Monday.

    Liberal Democrat leader Sir Vince Cable, a former business secretary, said the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) "must investigate".

    Shadow business secretary Rebecca Long-Bailey echoed Sir Vince's concerns.

    The first minister says curriculum for excellence recognises the value of arts.

    We are delivering a real terms increase to local authorities which will help support the creative arts, she adds.

    Ms Smith says a diminishing number of pupils have access to arts education, including music tuition.

    She urges the first minister to examine all possible channels of additional funding, including using private sector partnerships.

    Ms Sturgeon says music is part of the expressive arts area of the curriculum.

    I do share concerns about a number of local authority decisions on music tuition, she says, confirming she has asked the education secretary to look into this.

    The first minister points to investment in other initiatives such at the Youth Music Initiative and Sistema.
