    Deputy First Minister John Swinney says the parliament and people of Scotland are immensely proud of the Scottish Women's football team.

    "We will all be cheering them on every step of the way in the World Cup."

    SNP MSP Kenneth Gibson asks for a response from the first minister to recent figures showing that the number of women and girls playing football in Scotland has almost doubled in the last five years.

    That's according to the Scottish FA and Scottish Women's football.

    The total registered with the governing bodies has increased from 7,126 in 2014-15 to 14,071 in 2018-19.

    Last Tuesday, a record crowd of 18,555 watched Scotland women beat Jamaica ahead of the World Cup showdown with England this coming Sunday.

    Mr Swinney says the true position cannot be confirmed until the outturn data is available.

    He adds that if the Tory budget plans had been followed the impact would have been £500m.

    Mr Fraser says in addition to the £1bn the Scottish Fiscal Commission has predicted the figure could go higher.

    He asks if the black hole will be filled by cuts to services or higher taxes.

    Mr Swinney says there is a £490m increase in tax take since January.

    He points out these are forecasts from the SFC that can go up or down.

    Mr Swinney says if children are still being detained it would be completely unacceptable and would contravene Home Office policy.

    The deputy first minister says the Scottish government is continuing to seek clarity from the Home Office about this issue.

    Ms Fabiani says the Smith Commission recommended asylum issues be devolved.

    SNP MSP LInda Fabiani asks for the first minister's response to reports that children are still being held at Dungavel House.

    Children are still being detained at Dungavel Immigration Removal Centre almost a decade after the practice was banned.

    At least 21 under-18s were held there between 2010 and 2018, according to figures obtained by BBC Scotland's The Nine.

    • Labour MSP Jackie Baillie asks about the threat to EU funding being withheld from third sector organisations and councils. Mr Swinney says the government is determined that no public sector body will go out of business because of this. He explains the government has made representation to the EU Commission and intense activity is under way.
    • SNP MSP Gail Ross says the National has a letter from the Spanish government that it will not block an independent Scotland's entry to the EU. "We have always known Spain would not block an independent Scotland joining the EU," replies Mr Swinney.

    Mr Rennie asks why national testing for five year olds is continuing despite widespread criticism

    He says the education secretary has said they have been introduced trouble free.

    But Mr Rennie accuses Mr Swinney and Donald Trump of being "two peas in a pod when it comes to denial".

    Mr Swinney replied: "That ridiculous question is symbolic of Willie Rennie's leadership."

    He says there were no IT issues with the introduction of the assessments and reiterates his support of them.

    Mr Harvie says at the end of April the first minister announced a climate emergency, but the Scottish government is to spend billions on dualling the A9 and A96.

    Mr Swinney replies the government will take forward its agenda in a sustainable way, but it has a duty to make sure the country has the infrastructure required.

    • Independent MSP Mark Macdonald says the sale of Stoneywood Mill is not being taken forward and says a management buy out is being considered. Negotiations with a preferred bidder for the Aberdeen paper mill, which employs hundreds of people,have fallen through. Mr Swinney says this is a profitable site and a skilled workforce and a viable business proposal should be brought forward.
    • Labour MSP Neil Findlay raises the issue of a consultation document about the out-of-hours dental service at St John's Hospital and its potential closure. The DFM says if any of those options were to be taken forward there would be full consultation with the public and the government.

    Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard says child poverty has risen and food bank use has risen.

    Mr Leonard says the IPPR has called for the two child cap to be scrapped and he calls on Mr Swinney to use the powers the government has to end it.

    Mr Swinney says the moral question is whether this parliament should be dictated to by the Westminster government.

    The DFM says Labour has prevented the devolution of powers that would help this parliament tackle these issues.
