    The petition urges the Scottish government to retain the In Care Survivor Scotland , externalservice.

    The petitioners have expressed concern that the model of funding had moved to one of brokerage, instead of the service receiving core funding.

    Other issues around requiring a clinical diagnosis to access services have also been raised.

    Future Pathways was set up to oversee the in care survivor support fund. While some organisations believe it complements a range of services available, other has warned they have "a subservient power dynamic" with it.

    The petition urges the Scottish government to island-proof transport infrastructure to ensure that public bodies do not charge for parking in car parks at island ferry ports.

    MSPs agree that some sort of assessment of the economic impact of these parking charges on ferry users is appropriate.

    Committee convener Johann Lamont suggests the committee write to Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and the government.

    MSPs also agree to contact CalMac, CMAL and Transport Scotland.

    First up, the petitions committee is considering one new petition on parking charges at island ferry ports, external.

    It argues ferry services are often lifeline and parking at ports should be free, or else subject to a "rigorous impact assessment".
