Berwick Rangers have taken the unusual step of writing to over 50 schools in the Borders and North Northumberland to ask them to consider 'sponsoring' a match, with a difference!, external
The club would like each of its SPFL League Two games to be allocated to a guest school, and on that day, the school's students, their parents and teachers will be admitted free of charge.
Pupils will have the opportunity to meet the players and management, and take part in half-time activities on the pitch.

A largely dry end to the day in Dumfries and Galloway with some late spells of sunshine. The showers we've seen lingering around Dumfries to Ecclefechan continue to slip away south of the border.
In the Borders, a fairly cloudy end to the day but largely dry bar the odd passing shower.
Windy towards the coast, lighter inland where temperatures will dip to around 6 Celsius.

An alert has been issued for coastal flooding in the Scottish Borders.
Strong northerly to north westerly winds are set coincide with high astronomical tides on Wednesday and Thursday.
Large waves and spray overtopping are likely in areas exposed to the strong onshore winds.
Flooding to low lying ground is possible in exposed coastal and harbour areas. High tide at Eyemouth will be at approximately 6.15pm on Wednesday then 06.45am and approximately 7.15pm on Thursday.
Hawick jockey Kieron Edgar steered home 9/4F Epic Warrior in the 3.40pm race at Southwell this afternoon.

The Scottish government has said it will spend £195m over the next three years on a new shared equity scheme to help people buy new-build homes.
Ministers said the new scheme would focus on affordable homes.
Scottish Borders Council is to lodge a formal objection to a private members bill which would extend the Pentlands Regional Park into the Borders.
The area's MSP, Christine Grahame, has tabled her proposals at Holyrood. But members of the council's executive have agreed to object on the grounds that a number of issues need to be clarified.

Robert Petrie emails: The condition of the road surface is of particular concern to me, as a cyclist and motorcyclist. There are many areas or stretches of road that are in an appalling state, what with poor drainage, potholes and loose gravel.
SBC has a bit of a cheek to promote the Borders as a cycle friendly location as punctures and broken spokes are a common occurrence rather that an occasional inconvenience.
An exhibition commemorating 100 years of food in Berwickshire has begun at Coldstream Museum.
Organisers say the county has been an innovator in food production.
The exhibition called Grow it, Make it, Buy it, Eat it runs until 31 October.
Duns is a step closer to seeing a new primary school after Scottish Borders Council (SBC) authorised the start of construction.
The council has been working alongside its development partner, Hub South East Scotland, to progress the £8.6m project which includes relocating the primary school and creating a new Berwickshire locality support centre within the former Berwickshire High School building.
Border Search and Rescue Unit is inviting members of the public to discover for themselves some of the skills it uses in its life-saving activities.

The firm behind plans to upgrade overhead power lines in Dumfries and Galloway has been urged to consider burying some sections underground.
Local politicians have also called on Scottish Power Energy Networks to reconsider the route of the project.
The firm wants to build a new high voltage line between Auchencrosh in South Ayrshire and Harker in Cumbria.
It has pledged to scrutinise "every word of feedback" received during a 12-week consultation.

A Borderer set a new world record in Perthshire at the weekend by eating a pound of haggis in just 47 seconds.
Lee Goodfellow, 23, from Earlston, who also competed in the athletics events, won the World Haggis Eating Championship at the Birnam Highland Games on Saturday.
It's the fourth time he's taken the title.

The level of cancelled operations in the Borders has fallen to be amongst the lowest in Scotland.
Figures released this week show that there were only 33 of the planned 468 operations cancelled at Borders General Hospital during July. The 7.1% is well below the national average of 9.1%.
