Police in Sanquhar are dealing with a two vehicle road accident on Blackaddie Road.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which involved a car and a van, at about 10:20.
Local police said the road is blocked.
Petr Vakoc currently holds the lead in the overall standings as the Tour of Britain heads into Scotland today.
He has an 11 second advantage over Juan Jose Lobato and a further four seconds over past winner Edvald Boasson Hagen.

Police have appealed for help from the public after an angler was swept away by strong waves while fishing from rocks in the Borders on Sunday.
A major search operation was started at about 17:20 when Marek Zoldak, 32, and a friend fell into waters at Eyemouth.
The other man managed to scramble to the shore and was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with minor injuries.
Mr Zoldak has not been found and police are asking anyone who was in the area on Sunday afternoon to contact them.
The third stage of the Tour of Britain is expected to reach Scotland at about 12:30 today.
It will cross to Gretna Green before heading to Canonbie (12:51), Newcastleton (13:15), Hawick (14:12), Selkirk (14:39), Tweedbank (14:53), Melrose (14:57), with a finish at Floors Castle around 15:38.
All timings are approximate.

The Tour of Britain cycling race is set to reach Scotland, with one stage finishing in the Borders and another starting in Edinburgh.
The race crosses through Dumfries and Galloway before a finish with the backdrop of Floors Castle in Kelso.
It will pass through the Borders again on Wednesday, with a stage which starts in Edinburgh and finishes in Blyth.
Tourism chiefs hope the event will encourage even more people to consider Scotland as a cycling destination.

The RNLI has closed its lifeboat station in St Abbs, bringing to an end a 104-year association with the Scottish Borders village.
The charity said there was "not a clear need" to have a separate facility so close to its Eyemouth station.
It said it was confident the area could be safely covered by an extra boat provided at Eyemouth.
Campaigners opposing the closure are now looking at setting up an independently-run station.
Two way lights will be in operation this morning on the A75 east of Dumfries at Mousewald.
On the A77, landslip repair work is continuing between Cairnryan and Carlock Hill.
Temporary lights remain in use on the A76 Dumfries to Kilmarnock Road at Enterkinfoot, north of Thornhill.

A dry and cloudy start to the day across the Borders but things will improve. This afternoon is more promising with much brighter conditions as the sun comes out for most, lending a warm feel.
Areas along the coastal strip will hold on to areas of cloud in places at 14 or 15C. However, inland the sun will lift the temperature to around 18C.
It's a chilly start in the south-west - misty and foggy in places too. However, though the morning, any low cloud, mist and fog should burn off to reveal a dry, bright and sunny day with pleasant warm temperatures.
This afternoon with see highs of 17 to 19C and a light south easterly breeze. However the Rhins of Galloway, the breeze will be a little stronger as it it slowly freshens.
