The time Oscar Pistorius has already served will not count against his new sentence, a BBC producer in South Africa says.
That suggests the former athlete must serve a minimum of three years, starting from today, before he is eligible for parole.
He will be transferred to Khosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria.

Referring to the difference between Pistorius on his prostheses and on his stumps, the judge says: "It is easy to see here we are dealing with two different persons."
"To ignore this fact would lead to an injustice." But it is just one factor and others have to be taken into account.
