  3. Which missile test site is Kim to close?published at 12:01 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

Trump said Kim had told him North Korea was destroying a major engine-testing site used for missiles - but which site is he referring to?

Andrea Berger from the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies has told the BBC it could be in Sohae in the west of the country, near the Chinese border.

"My guess is that he (or Kim Jong-un) is referring to the vertical engine test stand at Sohae, which is also where North Korea has launched its satellites from. However, North Korea has conducted static engine tests in several locations, so it is unclear that Sohae is in fact the facility in question," she said.

However Ankit Panda from The Diplomat says it is more likely to be a site near the eastern city of Hamhung.

  6. Meanwhile a murder trial continuespublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

Worth remembering at this point - not far away from Singapore, the trial is continuing of two women who are accused of killing Mr Kim's brother, Kim Jong-nam.

At one time tipped to be the next leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-nam died in February last year at Kuala Lumpur airport. A chemical nerve agent was smeared on his face as he was checking in for a flight.

The two women on trial for murder say they had been told they were part of a TV prank show. The widely held view is that Kim Jong-nam was killed by the North Korean government, because he was seen as a potential threat to his younger brother.

  11. Chinese web users censored for noting there was no middlemanpublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

    Kerry Allen
    BBC Monitoring, Chinese Media Analyst

Given China's close relationship with North Korea, the summit has been a popular talking point on the popular Sina Weibo microblog today.

But many posts have been censored that mention the absence of a middle man to ensure that the summit went ahead smoothly.

Censorship-monitoring website Free Weibo has captured many posts that have been censored from the popular Sina Weibo microblog that note the meeting was "one-on-one". "You don't need a middle man to make a difference," one user says.

In the lead-up to the summit, China has been stressing its role in assisting North Korea on the path towards peace, with reports yesterday highlighting the loaned Air China plane that Mr Kim took to fly to Singapore.

  16. The significance of 'provocation'published at 10:56 British Summer Time 12 June 2018

Mr Trump has described the joint military exercises with South Korea as "provocative" to North Korea.

This is significant - it's the same language that North Korea uses to describe the exercises. Previously, Seoul and Washington have described the drills as "defensive" and "routine".

Many analysts will consider the halting of the military exercises as a huge concession from the US. By agreeing that they are a "provocation", Mr Trump could also be setting himself up for difficulties if the US attempts to resume the drills in the future.
