    A police source in Brussels has confirmed to the BBC that Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam was injured in the leg and was arrested in Molenbeek this afternoon during an anti-terror raid.

    Police are conducting several "simultaneous raids" in Molenbeek, Belgian broadcaster RTBF reports.

    Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots on or near the Rue des Quatre Vents, Belgian media said.

    Shots have been heard in the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek as police launch fresh anti-terror raids, Belgian media report. 

    The reports say that Paris attack suspect Salah Abdeslam has been wounded in the raids, but the reports are yet to be confirmed by police. 

    Fingerprints belonging to Abdeslam were found in a Brussels flat raided by police earlier this week. 

    Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel urgently left an EU-Turkey summit in Brussels following the news.
