  4. Sarah Groves: Family 'saddened' by Scarlett Keeling verdictpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 23 September 2016

    The family of Guernsey woman, Sarah Groves - who was found dead on a houseboat in Kashmir - has responded to a court verdict that has cleared two men over the death of a British teenager in Goa.

    The body of 15-year-old Scarlett Keeling from Devon, was found on a beach in Anjuna, Goa in 2008. Her mother, Fiona MacKeown, said she will appeal the verdict.

    Miss Groves, 24, was found dead on a houseboat she shared with a local family in Srinagar, Kashmir, in April 2013.  

    A Dutch national is accused of murdering Miss Groves, but he denies all the charges.

    In a statement, external the CESC says they will decide "whether to rescind or endorse" the decision to scrap the 11 plus and move to a three school system in the States. 

    It comes after Education President, Paul Le Pelley, vowed to campaign to keep Guernsey's grammar school - despite objections from other committee members.

    A Jersey woman is "devastated" after losing her entire £40,000 pension pot to a collapsed Guernsey investment fund.

    Speaking for the first time,  Leonie Spurr, who has a five-week-old baby, says she is "frustrated" at losing all her savings to Providence Global owned company, Lumiere Wealth. She is questioning why Guernsey's Financial Regulator, the GFSC, didn't step in sooner.

    The BBC has contacted the GFSC for comment, while Jersey's regulator, external says it is investigating the company. Administrators in Guernsey say they are trying to recoup some of the missing £37m.

    People who lost tens of thousands of pounds in a Guernsey-based investment fund will meet the administrators.

    Most of the £37m put in to the Providence Fund is unaccounted for.

    Administrator, Deloitte, says it has organised the meeting after receiving "many calls from investors." It is expected to outline the issues it faces in recovering money from Providence's Brazilian operation. 

    The Jersey Financial Services Commission , externalis investigating a Jersey subsidiary, Lumiere Wealth, which has told the BBC it's trying to resolve matters for its clients.

    • Hillgrove Street in town is closed by The Prince of Wales pub until Friday 
    • A section of the Esplanade is closed to eastbound traffic between Anley Street and Castle Street traffic during the day (09:00 - 16:00) for lifting work 
    • Expect delays in St Peter's Valley between Mont Fallu and Tesson Mill in St Lawrence - as there are temporary traffic lights in place
    • A section of Rue des Bouillons is closed for excavation works 
    • There will be evening road works on La Route de La Haule in St Peter tonight. They'll run from 20:00 - 23:30 from the the Forresters Arms, through the filter in turn and down to the bus stop
