    • There are temporary traffic lights up on the Bordage until the end of the month and on the Route De La Lague (LARG) in St Peters until tomorrow
    • There are also temporary traffic lights up on Forest Road until tomorrow
    • New Road in St Sampsons is also closed until tomorrow. This impacts bus routes 11, 12 and 92 
    • Sandy Hook Estate is closed - this means Sandy Hook Road is one-way going inland for the next four weeks. This impacts the P2 bus route

    The President of Guernsey's Overseas Aid and Development Commission says it's stepping in and doing what it can by donating £50,000 - a quarter of its annual disaster relief budget - to help people on the brink of famine in East Africa.

    The money will help some of the 16m people facing starvation across South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and northern Kenya. 

    Jersey's government is sending £200,000.

    Jersey's biggest nursing charity says it's pleased it's signed a £7m contract with the States - despite some of its staff facing redundancy. 

    The health department signed the agreement with Family Nursing and Home Care that includes funding for district nursing.

    But the States were told staff working for the charity could lose their jobs under the new funding arrangements. 

    Julie Gafoor, the charity's chief executive officer, said she wouldn't comment on the possible job losses because the consultation process is still ongoing.
