  1. New hospital: States to agree extra funding if over budgetpublished at 07:08 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2017

    BBC Radio Jersey

Jersey's States will have to agree any extra funding if its new hospital goes over budget.

On Tuesday, many members raised concerns about how much the island was having to spend on the project and wanted reassurance that it wouldn't go over budget.

They voted that ministers would have to come back to them for approval if the project was going to exceed £466m.

The States is examining the plan to pay for the hospital - which includes borrowing £275m and making up the rest from reserves.

Politicans will also decide whether the preferred option of building on the current site and rebuilding Westaway Court should be approved.
