Three new aircraft hangars will be built at Jersey Airport after planning permission was approved by the States, according to Ports of Jersey.
The 21,500 sq ft (2,000 sq m) hangars are needed to fulfill "increasing demand" for space from both local and visiting aircraft, a spokesman said.
The hangars, to be located on the western part of the airfield, are due to be build by the Canadian company, Sprung.
Ports of Jersey said the design would be able to withstand harsh weather and would be "easily relocatable".
