It may be necessary to "wipe out" the deficit accumulated by States of Guernsey-owned airline Aurigny again, the island's most senior politician has said.
The airline was recapitalised in 2016 when the States injected more than £20m to balance its books.
Since then Aurigny has continued to make losses and Deputy Gavin St Pier told the States Assembly that further help may be needed.
Quote MessageAs the company has accumulated losses have now exceeded the amount of the 2016 recapitalisation, and as a further loss is anticipated for 2018 consideration will need to be given as to whether to restore the company's balance sheet by further recapitalisation and how any future losses will be funded."
