    • At least two people have been killed and 24 others wounded after a gunman opened fire at an open-air country music festival at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
    • 14 of the wounded are in "a critical condition", according to a spokeswoman for the University Medical Center hospital.
    • The shooting took place at around 22:30 (05:30 GMT) on Sunday.
    • Hundreds of people fled the scene where the sound of what appeared to be prolonged automatic gunfire could be heard.
    • Police say one suspect is "down".
    • Flights have been diverted from Las Vegas McCarran airport while the incident continues.

    Police are swarming the Las Vegas strip where there has been heavy gunfire and reports of at least two people killed and dozens wounded.

    The incident is still unfolding, but it appears that it began at the Route 91 country music festival, near the Mandalay Bay Casino.
