Attorney General William Barr, who Trump appointed in December, is expected to speak about the Mueller report for approximately 20 minutes on Thursday morning at 09:30 local time (14:30 GMT) - just hours before the report will be made public.

We do not know if he will be taking questions, he is expected to address three aspects of the report:

    • Discussions between the justice department and the White House regarding the report
    • The process for redacting parts of the report
    • Whether the White House invoked executive privilege

The Washington Post reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller himself will not attend the news conference.
