Lady Gaga stole the show by arriving at this year's Grammy music awards in LA inside a giant transparent egg.

The singer won three awards including female pop vocal for Bad Romance and pop vocal album for The Fame Monster.

She crawled out of the egg at the Staples Center to perform new single Born This Way, which made it to number three in the official singles chart.

Lady Gaga, 24, said in a Twitter message that she was "in incubation" for her live appearance.
