Arctic Monkeys have revealed they're likely to play a UK tour in November.

Speaking to Radio 1's Zane Lowe during the premiere of the first single from their forthcoming fourth album they admitted it's "not been nailed on".

Alex Turner's band will play two homecoming shows in Sheffield in June and headline V and T In The Park.

Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair is the first proper single to be released from new album Suck It And See.

Regarding a UK tour in the autumn Alex Turner said: "I think we'll try and get a few sneaky ones in before."

He said the foursome were going into rehearsals for their summer gigs this week (12 April).

"The way we did the record this time we were pretty well rehearsed. It's more the old ones which will be a bit rusty."

The singer described the sound and lyrics of Suck It And See, released on 6 June, as being a "mix" of their previous three albums.

"It's got the sense of the humour like [their debut]. This new one has a bit more of that.

"It's a bit less about the observations now, it's more internal. A bit of Humbug was like that. It's more balanced now, it's not quite as mystical.

"It's not about the chip shop either."

Arctic Monkeys released teaser track Brick by Brick, the third track on their new album, on their website last month.
