Mel B has had her third child but hasn't revealed a name yet

Former Spice Girl Mel B has given birth to a daughter.

The singer, 36, hasn't revealed a name for her third child, who has been born in Los Angeles.

A statement from Mel B and her film producer husband Stephen Belafonte read: "This is the first child for Mel and Stephen and both mum and baby are happy, healthy and doing well."

The singer already has two other children, Phoenix and Angel, from previous relationships.

On her Twitter account she said: "Finally our baby arrives,Stephen nearly passed out,Phoenix screamed,I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!"

The singer is the third former Spice Girl to give birth this year.

Victoria Beckham became a mother for the fourth time in July when she gave birth to daughter Harper Seven and Emma Bunton had a second son, Tate, in May with her partner Jade Jones.

Bunton tweeted her congratulations, saying: "Yeah!!! Well done Mummy!Lots of love. Xxx"
