One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has signed a contract with Championship side Doncaster Rovers.
"This has always been a childhood dream for me," he said. "I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers."
The singer will wear the number 28 shirt during the 2013/14 season.
Fans of One Direction don't have to fear the band splitting up - the 21-year-old has signed the deal to raise money for charity.
Although the singer has been given a squad number he's unlikely to appear for the club in a first team match but is set to play for the club's development squad at some point.
Louis who is from Doncaster, South Yorkshire is hoping to raise money for the town's Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
"Being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it's all about," said the singer.
Last year the star organised a charity football match to raise money for the hospice.
Claire Rintoul, Chief Executive at Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice said: "It means so much to us and our children and families that he's giving his time to help us."
"We're absolutely thrilled and delighted that Louis has decided to continue his support for Bluebell Wood."
One Direction are gearing up for the release of their documentary, One Direction: This Is Us.
The film will give fans a behind the scenes look at the hectic life of the chart topping boy band.
Earlier this year the group announced plans for a worldwide stadium tour starting in Northern Ireland next May.
