BNP leader Nick Griffin calls for grooming case inquiry

The leader of the far right BNP has called for a public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the grooming and sexual abuse of several young girls in Rochdale.

Party leader Nick Griffin, who is also an MEP for the area, said his supporters had demonstrated throughout the trial to draw attention to the wider issues it raised.

Meanwhile, one of nine men convicted for his part in the ring is to appeal against his conviction claiming a breach in jury confidentiality.

It's after Griffin tweeted on Thursday that seven men had been convicted.

Khan's legal team claims this showed the jury's deliberations were leaked
