'Use technology to spot grooming' says minister

Online alerts which could be sent to children at risk of grooming will be considered by government as part of their latest internet safety strategy.

The NSPCC said existing algorithms could be used to flag suspected groomers to moderators.

Matt Hancock, minister for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, said he would be robust with social media companies which - he said - "have a responsibility here".
