People around England are celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at events across the country.
In London, despite wet weather, parties are taking place in parks around the capital ahead of the Thames Jubilee River Pageant later this afternoon.
Pubs and village halls have been decked out in bunting and flags with millions expected to take part in the Big Jubilee Lunch.
Across England and Wales there have been 9,500 road closure applications by people planning to celebrate in the streets.
A Diamond Jubilee tea party, thought to be the remotest in the world, will take place later in the Arctic. Polar Explorer Antony Jinman from Plymouth led a six-man group to the summit of Mount Barbeau, on the Queen Elizabeth Islands, 560 miles (901km) from the North Pole.
In Morecombe 550 tables are stretching from the Polo Tower to Morecambe Bay Lifeboat Station for a party along the promenade.
In Liverpool people were invited to send messages to the Queen via a Diamond Jubilee Wishing Tree.
