Devon-Dorset landslip coast path to stay shut

A section of coast path on the Devon-Dorset border will remain closed for the "foreseeable future" after being damaged by a landslip.
The five-mile (7.6km) section of path near Axmouth and Lyme Regis, has been closed since the landslip in late-January.
Natural England said it was working with a number of partners to identify a safe and viable long-term route.
A spokesman said "several possible new routes" were being investigated.
'Exceptional rainfall'
The stretch of path is home to the National Nature Reserve (NNR), the largest active coastal landslip complex in north-west Europe, the organisation said.
The exceptional amount of rainfall over the winter had led to a "very high number of landslips and cliff falls, throughout the NNR", Natural England confirmed.
It said it was working with Devon County Council, East Devon District Council and the South West Coast Path Team.
