A41 at Aylesbury closed by live electricity cable blockage

A main road was closed after a live cable from a damaged electricity pylon blocked the carriageway, police said.

The A41 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire was shut by Thames Valley Police at the Clayfield Road junction from about 04:45 GMT.

In a post on social media, external, the force warned drivers to not attempt to drive through the closed road.

Delays were expected to impact rush hour traffic.
