Berkshire: Couple's month-long trek for drinkable river water
A couple have embarked on a month-long trek to promote a campaign for drinkable river water.
Li An Phoa and Maarten van der Schaaf, from the Netherlands, are walking along the River Thames from its source in the Cotswolds to its mouth in the North Sea.
They said the river could be drinkable within 30 years if it is properly restored.
The couple run a campaign group - Drinkable Rivers - which promotes international environmental action including walks, events and research.
