Three men stabbed during a morning service are recovering well and out of hospital, their church has said.
Karl George, Adam Brooks and Jorge George were all injured during the incident at New Jerusalem Apostolic Church in Aston, Birmingham, on Sunday.
John Delahaye, 47, from Aston, has been charged with attempted murder and two counts of wounding and being in possession of a carving and kitchen knife.
He has been remanded in custody.
Mr Delahaye, of Ettington Road, will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 9 October.
Police were called to the church on Rocky Lane on Sunday morning, where about 150 people were in the congregation.
All three victims were taken to hospital but have since been released.
One of the victims, Adam Brooks, is the son of church founders Melvin and Yvonne Brooks.
The church said one of the men received injuries to his neck, another to his arms and the third received upper body injuries.
Phil Gayle was leading the service at the time of the attack and said the attacker "stuck out like a sore thumb."
The church is calling it "an isolated event" that is neither gang nor terror related.
Security at the church is being reviewed, but a spokesman said "there is nothing apparent that we can see that could have stopped the attack."
