Wolves: Drone footage captures Molineux from the sky

It's Wolverhampton's best-known landmark - and BBC drone footage shows how the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers dominates the city centre skyline.

Molineux, a 10-minute walk from the city centre, has undergone a dramatic transformation.

In the 1980s two stands - Waterloo Road and North Bank - were closed due to a fire risk.

But now Molineux is a modern-day arena thanks to the financial backing of owners Sir Jack Hayward and later Steve Morgan.

Ask any supporter what is particularly special about following Wolves, and one of the more popular answers is sure to be: "A Molineux night under the lights."

Wolves were the pioneers of floodlit football in the 1950s, taking on and beating some of Europe's elite sides.

And more than 30,000 people will descend on Molineux on Tuesday evening for a Premier League game against Burnley.

This is the sixth successive season that Molineux has hosted Premier League football, with Wolves currently sat in 13th place under the leadership of head coach Gary O'Neil.
