Up to 20,000 runners take part in the 25th Bristol Half Marathon

Up to 20,000 runners have taken part in the 25th Bristol Half Marathon.

The race, which started at 09:30 BST on the Harbourside, has attracted runners from all over the world.

The men's race has been won by Bernard Rotich from Kenya who finished inside 64 minutes. The women's race has been won by 43-year-old Emma Stepto from Cornwall.

Various roads are closed throughout the day with information, external available on Bristol City Council's website.

The event attracted 1,000 runners when it began in 1989.
