Views sought on Peterborough planning

A consultation is seeking views on the future development of Peterborough in the next 15 years and sites for thousands of homes and work places.
The future infrastructure of the city is also explored in one of three planning documents published by the city council.
Comments will be forwarded to the government, after which residents can have a final say, the council said.
A six-week consultation begins on Friday.
The council said the most important document identifies locations for 25,500 new homes, 24,600 work places and supporting infrastructure over the period to 2026.
The proposals will eventually become official policy for deciding future development schemes.
A second document sets out detailed planning policy guidelines, while the third document deals with development guidelines in selected villages.
