A £3.7m project to transform a former school into an arts hub for 200 creative businesses has been completed.

Jewellers, textile firms and a theatre production company have moved in to the Old Grammar School buildings in Redruth, Cornwall.

Funding came from the European Regional Development Fund and Krowji Ltd, which promotes art projects across the county.

The former school, which opened in 1907, closed in the early 2000s.

Bethany Robinson, jeweller and sculptor, said "It's amazing. We have a whole community of artists, all helping each other to succeed."

Creative businesses started to move into the school in 2005, with the current project paying for the additional building for more firms and artists to move in.

In 2014, a 100-year-old mulberry tree was transplanted as part of the redevelopment project.
