Boy who had meningitis wants people to know about after effects

A 10-year-old boy who "nearly died" of meningitis as a baby is suffering "horrendous" after effects, his mother has warned.

Emma Penfound says Matthew developed speech and sleep problems and learning difficulties which led to bullying.

Together the family from Bude, Cornwall, have made thousands of orange charity ribbons for Meningitis Now, external to raise awareness.
